2. Membrane proteins and Supramoleclar complexes

In the project, we will not handle all of the proteins but will focus on the important ones.

Important protein families were selected from the large-scale gene resources.

IImportant membrane proteins (e.g. GPCRs, transporters) were selected from the human genome sequences, on the basis of the total number of membrane proteins and the social (medical) significance (under the supervision of Profs.

ITakashi Tsuruo and So Iwata). By systematic investigation of the expression conditions, we will unveil the rules governing their functions.

IRegarding supramolecular complexes, protein kinases complexed with their partners, complexes of signal transduction molecules, and nucleosomes and their complexes with nucleosome binding proteins have also been selected for investigation.
