Except for Gly73 (Ile43) and Trp69 (Met39), amino acid residues around the flutolanil binding site are conserved in both A. suum and porcine Complex IIs. However, in A. suum Complex II, stronger interactions are formed between flutolanil and the conserved residues. In addition, Trp69 interacts with flutolanil through CH-π interaction. A cavity is observed between flutolanil and Gly73, which is occupied by the side chain of Ile43 in porcine Complex II.
